Description
One of the prettiest basil varieties. AAS seed winner, and a very easy plant to grow. Purple ruffles is more heat tolerant and doesn’t typically bolt as fast as other varieties and can be propagated easily from cuttings to multiply your plants. Leaves are jagged with deep purple with a slight green tinge, making them a showstopper. Basil remains purple when cooked but it is most amazing when eaten fresh. Use just as you would sweet basil or Genovese.
